Taylor's Restaurant
Enjoy your dining experience with at Taylor's Restaurant. Taylor's is located on site and is open from 8am - late. Dine in a relaxed atmosphere and enjoy all of what the Tasman Peninsula offers, with great views and service to add to your experience. Bookings are advisable. Ph: 6250 2771
Mussel Boys
They serve great seafood and offer an interesting and innovative cuisine with a concentration on local produce and seafood. The mussel and oyster dishes are excellent. Mussel Boys is located approximately 10kms away in Taranna. They are normally open every lunch and dinner. Bookings are advisable. Ph: 6250 3088
Felons
On the Historic Site itself is the excellent Felons restaurant which has a diverse menu with plenty of seafood and imagination. They focus very much on the Peninsula’s local produce and their desserts are sublime. Turn left on to the highway and follow the signs to the Historic Site. Felons is in the main building to the right. We recommend you book. Ph: 1800 659 101.
Commandants
Another option further to the south is the Comfort Inn’s restaurant, Commandants. They also have a bistro menu well suited to those seeking a light meal or snack. To get there, turn left on to the highway and take the second turn on the left (Safety Cove Road). Proceed a few hundred metres and they are on your left. It is best to book. Ph: 6250 2101
Fox and Hounds
The food is best described as a good counter meal and the pub has an old English-style atmosphere. Families are welcome. It is two kilometres to the north of us. Make sure you arrive early as they stop serving before you may expect. Ph: 6250 2217
Nubeena Tavern
This is the local haunt and is a small, family/bistro-style, “beef and reef” restaurant. Children are very welcome and catered for. It has two bars and is the local home for Keno, Sky Channel and the Tote. Ph: 6250 2250
Others
At Eaglehawk Neck there is the Eaglehawk Neck Café which is a very good café worth stopping at or venturing out for lunch.
Next to the entrance to our driveway is the Port Arthur General store. It has a limited range of take away foods. They stop serving at 5pm.
Further round at Nubeena, the bakery has take away items including pizzas but beware they don’t take orders after 6:30pm and close at 7:00pm. Ph: 6250 2577. Across the road from the bakery, there is a fish and chip shop.
