Explore the many attractions at Pirates Bay including the Tasman Arch, the Blowhole, Devil's Kitchen and the tesselated pavement. After a visit to the Port Arthur Historic Site continue on to Remarkable Cave and the beautiful Safety Cove beach. Other historic attractions include the Coal Mines and Cascades.

Tasman Peninsula Walks - The Port Arthur area and the Tasman Peninsula reward the walker with beautiful forests and magnificent coastal scenery with a significant slice of Tasmania's history. Seaview Riding Ranch - 15 minutes from Port Arthur. Scenic trail and pony rides. Ph (03) 6250 3110.

Coal Mines and Point Puer Historic Site - 25 minutes from Port Arthur. Explore this recently upgraded convict site on your own self-guided tour.

Waterfall Bay - Travel by road back towards Eaglehawk Neck and turn right at the sign to Doo Town and right before Doo Town. Spectacular coastal cliffs.

Remarkable Cave - Turn left as you leave the Lodge. Turn left at Safety Cove Road and continue to the end of the road. Short walk to Remarkable Cave, Crescent Bay and Maignon Lookout and is the main access to Mount Brown and Crescent Bay. Rock climbers also access the cliffs around West Head and Dauntless Point from this site.

Roaring Beach - Drive to Nubeena and take the left hand turn. Home to some of the best surfing waves in the world. When the conditions are right these massive waves are awesome to watch.

Fishing and Boating - The waters of the Tasman Peninsula are famous around Australia as home to some of the best fishing anywhere. Local shopping and attractions

  • Sea Kayaks and fishing gear available for hire from Reception.
  • General Store - Next to the Lodge driveway. Limited range of take away foods.
  • Dunalley Fish Markets - Next to the bridge in Dunalley and one of the freshest fish markets around. In season you can also purchase crayfish.
  • Strawberry Farm - Turn right at the top of the hill as you leave Eaglehawk Neck. These superb strawberries are hydroponically grown. Pick your own.
  • Pirates Bay Octopus - The renowned marinated Pirates Bay Octopus is caught fresh from the seas of the Peninsula. It is available from local shops.
  • Doo Town Meats - Some of the best sausages and venison comes from Doo Town Meats. If you see it on a menu, don't pass up the opportunity.
  • Rannock Quail - Bred right here and on the menu at top restaurants around the country.
  • Federation Chocolates - Opposite the Devil Park at Taranna. View the art of chocolate making as well as tastings.
  • Tasman Farmers Market - Every Sunday 10am-2pm. Look for the signs as you pass through Taranna, 10 minutes north of Stewarts Bay Lodge.
